when u r buffed pet dismissed etc, get as close to the entrance to the camp as you can and look for a troll as far as you can see. remember where it is. (if u have a flying mount its great to fly over the camp and find a troll pref across the whole camp from the entrance)I wasted 45 minutes on this quest before I found the way to do it, but beating the quest was SO worth it in the end. I may note that this type of quest was always bugged but at least it worked with my 2 other chars but strangely not with my mage (probably patch problems).
