In Graphic Novels: A Bibliographic Guide to Book-Length Comics, D. Aviva Rothschild praised the series, finding the plot as strong, and the characters as three-dimensional and appealing. [23] Entertainment Weekly writer Alex Heard panned the comic, writing that "the story moves very slowly [...] one can readily agree with the disgruntled fan who wrote, 'My God! Where did you dredge up those horrid characters? '" [16] Waller, Reed;Worley, Kate.January 1988. The Collected "Omaha" the Cat Dancer, volume2,Kitchen Sink Press.ISBN: 0878160493. Doing a project like "The Flower Chamber" is more like making a movie than a comic book. Set building and dressing, costumes, lighting, photographic direction. I used the creations of many talented modelers to make this possible. Everyone will be credited in the final book. All art rendered in Firefly from PoserPro 10.

Even my publisher was skeptical of what I wrote. Denis didn't believe there was a stretch of road in the mostly-flat Twin Cities with a cliff that a car could be forced off. We had to drive him out Hwy 169 (then County Road 18) on the way to Flying Cloud Airport to show him where it "actually" happened. Waller, Reed;Worley, Kate.January 2006. Well, the German collectors were confused by my first submission, so I had to come up with something new and less cryptic, in not very much time, since the German Vol. 1 is scheduled to hit the stands in the beginning of March. LIST OF ISSUES

I ended my previous blog post about Omaha doubting whether I’d ever read this book, but I guess I changed my mind at some point, even though I have no recollection of doing so. I found this book while looking for Kitchen Sink books on my shelves, and my eyebrow went all *hmmmm*. Nothing about it seems familiar — I may even have bought it before I did that blog post, but then decided not to read it until after I’ve re-read the rest of the series, and by the time I did that, I’d forgotten I’d bought it. Waller, Reed;Worley, Kate.April 5, 2007. The Complete Omaha the Cat Dancer, volume6,Amerotica.ISBN: 1561635057.

How do you feel about the ending of the series and how much of a challenge was it to get the right tone and the right moment to end on?The strip debuted in the funny animal magazine Vootie, and it was subsequently published in a number of underground comix in the late 1970s and early 1980s. "Omaha" the Cat Dancer became the subject of the eponymous comic book series published from 1984 to 1993 by Kitchen Sink Press; it was relaunched by Fantagraphics Books through 1995. The final chapters of the strip's storyline were published in Sizzle magazine, beginning in 2006.
